You Know You Want One!

2010tshirt

Wow! That t-shirt sure looks nifty! Imagine how much better you would look wearing it! Pretty cool mental image, yeah? Well, stop pretending and go ahead and order one. Be the first on your block to wear the official Fist of Justice Logo T-Shirt!

We’re going to be taking pre-sales until the end of the month at which point we will unleash the t-shirt monkeys. They get a little messy with all the silk-screen materials, but for you we’re willing to deal with a mess. We expect to start shipping the t-shirts the second week of February. If things work out right, you might even have it in time for Valentine’s Day. And really, what would say “I love you” better than a t-shirt with a big fist on it? Not chocolate, that’s for sure! Well, unless it had peanut butter in it and then…. HEY! Sorry.

You can get our swanky store by clicking the link off to the side that says SHOP. Pretty clever on our part, I know.

In all seriousness, we thank you in advance for your support. And stay tuned – we hope to make an announcement about the forthcoming issues very soon!

What’s This? An Update?!?

Just a quick update to the dozens of FoJ fans around the world! As if it wasn’t glaringly obvious, we’ve taken a little hiatus. The purpose of this break is to try and get ahead of the game so we can get more than a few issues out in a year. As of right now, issues #6 and 7 and are done with #8 about halfway through the art process. The script for #9 is about halfway done and #s10-12 are plotted out to the point where it’s just a matter of breaking things down to a page-by-page script and adding dialog.

We’re also working out the details of how we’re going to actually et the book out to you.  As you may, or may not, know – Diamond Comic Distributors, the monopoly, the leading distributor of comics to comic shops around the world, set new quotas for books to hit and any that didn’t were dropped from their catalog. As a result, getting the book to comic stores is going to be… well, difficult is a pretty good choice of words.  Rest assured, though, we WILL get the book out there and make it as easy as we can for you to get your mitts on it.

We may be calling on YOU to help – once we have things finalized, we’ll need you to spread the word by letting your comic shop know that the book is still available.  We’re currently working on discount levels and pricing structures for retailers and hope to have everything finalized in the next few weeks.

And before we forget — convention season starts up soon and we’re going to try and hit as many shows as we can.  So keep an eye on the APPEARANCES page for updates.  And if you run a show, or own a store, and it’s within 3 or 4 hours of Charm City Baltimore, MD, and are interested in having Mike Imboden for a signing or whatever, just drop us a line and we’ll see what we can do.

So sit back and be patient.  We’ve got a helluva story in the works right now and you’re not going to want to miss it!

Messing With the Look and Feel

We’re trying a different WordPress theme in an attempt to land just the right look.

This is most likely not the final product, but it’s a step in the right (?) direction. While the previous style looked really nice, it was too obvious a blog.  That is, the date(s) for each update were very prominent.  But with this, they sort of blend into the post itself.  And we don’t want to draw your attention to the date of the last thing we post in case we get really busy actually working on the comic and don’t have time to come here and post and update.

So, as always, bear with us as we try to improve your FoJ experience.   :)

Trading Cards in the Store

It’s not perfect looking, but it’s all Mike could throw together in a few minutes.  Head on over to the ‘STORE’ page and order your set of Series 1 trading cards.

Eventually we’ll had more items and put a little spit and shine on things. But in these lean times with this tough economy, it’s pretty much a one and a half man show here at FoJ-dot-com central.

And besides, wouldn’t you rather have Mike working on scripts? We know Ed would!

A Couple of Additions

We’re slowly (oh, so slowly), adding content to the site here. We just created a page listing our convention appearances for 2010 which is found right here with its own page off of the ‘About’ page.

Have patience with us while we get the site up to 100%. We promise that over the next couple of months we’ll have all sorts of neat stuff here.
